Year 6 visit to RAF Benson
In March, Year 6 pupils from Windale Primary School were lucky enough to visit RAF Benson in Wallingford.
Committed to operations throughout the world since the Station opened in 1939, RAF Benson is currently home to two thirds of the RAF's support helicopter force
Pupils took part in a number of stimulating activities as part of a programme designed by RAF Benson. This included looking around a working RAF military base, trying on some survival equipment and looking at historical artefacts from the Second World War. Of course, the day would not have been complete without a chance to look around a Puma helicopter too!
